Darcy is struggling to pay for her brother’s medical bills,
so she takes a job as a high-end escort. She doesn’t want this job, but the
money is too good to pas up. James is a billionaire who likes his space in the
secluded mountain resort he has built. When Darcy and James meet, they can feel
the chemistry between each other. He has his reasons for buying an escort, and
the reason makes you fall in love with him a little bit more.
Darcy is very supportive and a go getter. She will anything
for those she loves and is always trying to nurture others.
James is broken from his past and had rather spend his day
alone than being surrounded by so many people.
It was amazing to see James open up little by little
throughout this book.
The book is a novella told by Darcy’s POV. I would have
liked to have known James’ thoughts, but the book was still wonderful without
it. The twist at the end…I never even saw it coming! It was so fascinating to
see how the characters moved on afterwards.
The Sexy Beast is one short, hot, fun romance that I read in one
sitting. What a wonderful debut for Ella J. I can’t wait to read more from her.
