Bane, the highly-anticipated next standalone in the Sinners of Saint Series by L.J. Shen is LIVE
Bane
Naked surfer. Habitual pothead. A con, a liar, a thief and a fraud.
Last I heard, he was extorting the rich and screwing their wives for a living.
Which is why I’m more than a little surprised to find him at my threshold, looking for my friendship, my services, and most puzzling of all—looking humbled.
Thing is, I’m on a boycott. Literally—I cut boys from my life. Permanently.
Problem is, Bane is not a boy, he is all man, and I’m falling, crashing, drowning in his sweet, perfect lies.
Jesse Carter
Hot as hell, cold as ice.
I wasn’t aware of her existence until a fat, juicy deal landed in my lap.
She’s a part of it, a little plaything to kill some time.
She is collateral, a means to an end, and a side-bonus for striking a deal with her oil tycoon stepdad.
More than anything, Jesse Carter is a tough nut to crack.
Little does she know, I have the f****** teeth for it.

She enjoys the simple things in life, like spending time with her family and friends, reading, HBO, Netflix and internet-stalking Stephen James. Five Stars
This is the surfer, bad boy story that we’ve all been waiting for.
Jesse is a shell of a person after the past she has had to endure. She just goes through the motions and doesn’t want to deal with anyone. Bane is the two bad boy and is usually up to no good. When he needs a business investor, he finds a man who gives him an offer he cannot refuse. How hard will it be to befriend a spoiled rich girl? When Bane meets Jesse, he knows his previous assumptions were completely wrong, and he may be in over his head.
Jesse is broken, vulnerable, and a hermit. Why go out when it only sparks rumors? She lives her lonely life in her room reading books.
Bane is trying to be a successful businessman, but some of this business transactions are less than honorable. He does what he must do in order to stay afloat, and he doesn’t let anyone in. He is hiding and trying to be someone he is not.
This story of survival, bravery, and redemption was one for the books. I knew Bane’s story would be amazing, but I wasn’t expecting it to be that good. I am honestly at a loss for words, because it is hard to describe how amazing this book was.
I also liked getting a glimpse of the other characters. While their story lines were not major, it was still nice to see they haven’t changed over the years.
