Blurb

There are two kinds of women in the world – those I can bang, and those I can’t.
My teammate’s sister?
She’s a can’t.
I moved in with her to protect her from a nasty ex, not to be the next guy in line.
She’s the brains.
I’m the brawn.
She’s the fruit.
I’m the sausage.
She talks too much.
I don’t talk at all, if I don’t have to.
Should be easy to resist her.
But every minute I spend with Felicity is another minute she gets under my skin. She makes me feel like something more than a dumb puckhead with a big Zamboni pony. And it’s getting harder to remember why I need to keep my hands to myself.

Beauty and the Beefcake is a vegan-friendly standalone romantic comedy featuring a hockey player whose vocabulary is the only thing smaller than a hockey puck, a book smart but aimless ventriloquist with too many voices in her head, a dilapidated old house that may or may not be haunted, and no cheating or cliffhangers.

Author Bio

Pippa Grant is a stay-at-home mom and housewife who loves to escape into sexy, funny stories way more than she likes perpetually cleaning toothpaste out of sinks and off toilet handles. When she’s not reading, writing, sleeping, or trying to prepare her adorable demon spawn to be productive members of society, she’s fantasizing about chocolate chip cookies.

Five Stars

Felicity is getting out of a crazy breakup with another crazy, stalking ex. She lives in her Grammy’s house with her Grammy’s ghost. Her brother, Nick, plays hockey and has had the task of protecting his baby sister his whole life. What better way to protect her than to ask a friend to move in with her?

Ares is also a hockey player known mostly for his size and one-word random answers. He is currently on the IR list and is itching to get back out on the ice. He is such a loyal friend. He doesn’t hesitate when Nick asks him to move in with Felicity. Will Felicity get him to open up more and come out of his shell, or will her ability to only attract crazy people ring true?

Felicity is an absolutely, hilarious heroine. Her multiple personalities from being a ventriloquist made such a unique twist to the book. It was so much fun to see her interact with herself through multiple voices.

Areas has always been misunderstood. People cater to him because they think he is dumb. Ares has no intentions of correcting them because why change something that works in his favor? Even though he can talk, he doesn’t. He says just enough to get his point across.

The way these two characters helped each other grow and come out of their shell was so heartwarming. They became their true selves and showed more of their real personalities by the end of the book.

This was another amazing, hilarious book by Pippa Grant! I cannot wait to see if she continues this series.
