Three Stars

Wrigley is attending a baseball game with her sister Diamond when she is suddenly hit by a fly ball. George feels so bad for hitting the girl in the stands, but once he lays eyes on her, he wants to get to know her.

This book is an insta-love story. George and Wrigley fall for each other after their first meeting and the story progresses from there.

I really wanted to love this book, but it was an okay read for me. I felt like the story progressed through several years extremely fast. Most of the time this wouldn't be an issue for me, but I felt like there were several major events in the characters' lives that were barely mentioned. I wish we would have gotten the details of those events so that we could understand the characters' actions and feelings.

I will definitely read the next book in the series to find out more about the Lumberjacks!
