Reese has run away from everything she has ever known and has no one. She starts a new job at the horse track just so she can be near the horses.
Low is the boss at the bar inside the track. He has a reputation of one night stands, but that does not deter the customers from trying to be the next notch on his bedpost.
Reese and Low have this amazing chemistry from the start. They know they both want to use each other, but Low keeps pushing her away.
Reese knew exactly what she wanted with Low, and I loved how she was such an amazing support system for him throughout the book. She was such an open and honest character.
This is the first book that I have read that touches on HIV. I thought that Elle did an outstanding job of writing about this disease and creating a couple who could overcome any obstacles.
The secondary characters were so interesting. There was so much mystery surrounding their stories, and I cannot wait for them to get their own books.
