Five Stars
I pretty much held my breath throughout the entire book. The angst was there from the start, and I just knew there was going to be heartache before they got their HEA.
Avery was such a selfless person. She has put everyone's needs above her own for her entire life.
Emmett is just going through the motions. He uses his heartbreak as a reminder to never let anyone get close again.
A vacation with friends is what both of them need, but they didn't know they would be spending it with each other.
I loved, loved, loved this book. The explosive chemistry and drama was perfection. Even if most of it could have been solved years ago, they were kids, and kids make stupid, rash decisions.
This story played out perfectly, and I was so glad the other Kings stayed out of the drama for the most part. They didn't pick sides and allowed Emmett and Avery a chance to hash it out themselves.
Now lets talk about that ending!!! Oh my! I knew it was bound to happen, but that was not what I was expecting. The outburst that that is about to occur is going to epic!
