Blurb:

Not all love stories are written the same way.

Ours had torn chapters, missing paragraphs, and a bittersweet ending.

Luna Rexroth is everyone’s favorite wallflower.

 Sweet. Caring. Charitable. Quiet. Fake.

Underneath the meek, tomboy exterior everyone loves (yet pities) is a girl who knows exactly what, and who, she wants—namely, the boy from the treehouse who taught her how to curse in sign language.

Who taught her how to laugh.

To live. To love.

Knight Cole is everyone’s favorite football hero.

Gorgeous. Athletic. Rugged. Popular. Liar.

This daredevil hell-raiser could knock you up with his gaze alone, but he only has eyes for the girl across the street: Luna. But Luna is not who she used to be. She doesn’t need his protection anymore. When life throws a curveball at All Saints’ golden boy, he’s forced to realize not all knights are heroes.

Sometimes, the greatest love stories flourish in tragedy.

Five Stars

This book is EVERYTHING! The rawness, brokenness, and amount of pure love these characters have for each other is indescribable. My heart was so full of admiration, shattered into a million pieces, and then slowly taped back together with Luna and Knight bandaids.

Luna was such a powerful character. Her strength and loyalty was needed by most of the characters in the book. She may be young, but her intelligence and overall view on things is well beyond her years. I loved watching her grow. You could actually feel her getting more secure and confident with herself as the book progressed.

Oh my Broken Knight...pure perfection. Yes, he had some messed up ways of handling his emotions and dealing with things larger than life, but deep down he had a heart of gold. The way he took care of others and demanded respect reminded me so much of Rosie. His sense of humor, quick inappropriate comebacks, and overall personality reminded me so much of Dean. He was truly the best combination of the two.

You can’t have a ASH book without the whole gang, and this book had it all! Great take charge advice from Daria, moodiness and eye opening comments from Vaughn, loving advice and motherly affection from HotHole wives, and great banter from the Hot Holes who are now getting paid back. It’s so much fun to see the kids treat the parents like parents and using the same cocky attitudes to get their way.

For those who know me, know I hate to cry. However, I will never miss an LJ Shen book. She has a way of breaking you and making it ok all at the same time. You know when you are up at 3 AM crying in your coffee, that you have a 5 star book! Leigh, thank you for writing this amazing story about unconditional love, not taking life for granted, and finding your people!
